I’m a Model?

September 20, 2014

Last spring, my brother and his team went up to Seymour to do a photo shoot with some university photography students. He got asked again to go, and I joined him because, hey, why not? I’ll get to do some biking and get to see some cool pictures!

I was surprised at how much equipment that they needed just for a few hours. All of the different lights and flashes, plus all the batteries to power them took up a lot of space and all needed to be carried up the mountain. It took them a while to set up, but as soon as they did, we started riding the different sections of trails. It was a really neat experience.

The students were all really nice and told us what they wanted but also let us do our own thing and give our opinion. I haven’t gotten all of the pictures back, but I do have one, and it’s pretty cool.

Rider Profile Video

September 19, 2014

While at Crankworx this year, the Peak Performance Racing team was doing some filming to make rider profile videos for each of us. It was really neat working with the videographers. I had a lot of fun shooting with them and got some pretty good material!

Here is the video that they came up with.

Concussion Update

September 12, 2014

After two weeks of doing nothing, and another week of road biking and gym training, I have finally returned to my downhill bike! Boy, does it feel good. My head isn’t 100% yet, but I can ride with no symptoms and my confidence is quickly gaining.

I rode for the first time on Cypress today for a few laps and I couldn’t get enough. It’s good to be back on the bike! The next step is returning to Whistler and really putting some time back on the bike to get ready for next race season.
