Skiing

January 6, 2012

On January 29 and 30th we went to Castle Mountain to go skiing with some friends. It had rained the day before and the bottom of the mountain was a bit slippery, but at the top there was powder. We were used to skiing on ice at Sunridge, so skiing on powder took a little longer to get used to. After I got the hang of it, it was amazing! The second night it snowed two inches and continued to snow throughout the day, so there was a lot of powder. That was definitely the best time I’ve had skiing and I hope we go again next year.

Tornado Video

April 28, 2011

Ok. Here it is. It’s kinda long and boring. But I tried to pick out the good parts.

Tornado? Uh, oh….

April 27, 2011

We had a great time while Grandma and Grandpa were here. It was so nice to see them again and it brings back memories talking to them about Canada. But something else interesting happened. There was a tornado. It never hit Abilene. But we didn’t know that when the tornado warnings were going crazy on the TV. Here is a new tramp bike video. I will add a tornado video once I edit one.

King of da House!

April 11, 2011

Mom and Dad went somewhere on a picture taking trip and we stayed home for two days by ourselves. They left around 6:00 Friday night and weren’t back until around 5:30 on Sunday. We spent Saturday with some friends of ours and got a ride to Church on Sunday. It wasn’t that bad because we really weren’t home that much, only at night. While I was a friend’s house, we insulted and annoyed people on Black Ops in a British accent. It was really funny and my throat hurt that night. Haha. It was fun, and now they’re home, so it’s not fun anymore. 🙁

Snow? In Texas?

February 1, 2011

Yep, it snowed. A bit too much for my liking. We can’t even go to a friends house because there is too much snow and ice…. It snowed only 5 inches then the wind piled it up so we couldn’t get out of our driveway. Here are some pics.

Yes. I ride in the snow.

.....Doesn't always work though.

Party!!!

December 20, 2010

On Friday we had a Christmas party. We played a game that was made up by our friends in Edmonton. It was an extreme version of hide and go seek. Everybody went and hid except for the seeker and interrogator. When the people were caught, they were brought to the interrogator. He asked them three questions and guessed a nick name that they wrote before the game started. If the interrogator guesses right, the person who was interrogated became one of the seekers. If the interrogator guesses wrong, the person who got interrogated would go hide again. I was the interrogator and yelled a lot. After that, we came in and had snacks and started playing Moosey Moosey. It was really funny playing Moosey Moosey with this group of people. I guess it’s a fun game to play with any group of people. Everybody left and I went to bed. 🙂

I think the my favorite time or thing we did when Grandma and Grandpa were here was making cookies and bread. The cookies that we made were called peppersnaps. They are really fun to make and taste really good. We have to mix the dough and role it out into long strips. We put them in the fridge for a while and cut them into little pieces and put them into the oven. With the bread, the dough is a lot more sticky and harder to get off your fingers.

Yes, It’s Cold Now

November 24, 2010

It is so cold. It dropped down to 82F today. It was so cold we had to use a wet suit to go wind surfing.

It took three days and two coats of paint and one coat of primer…… Now I can sleep in peace, knowing that I accomplished something.

Plane

June 17, 2010

Yesterday when we were wind surfing, I learned to plane. That is where you go really fast and the board starts to lift off the water. When your on the board, and a wind gust comes. You hook your harness on a hook on the boom. You have to lean back and bend your knees or else the sail will pull you forward and you will be swimming with the fishes. You also have to try to move back on the board. It’s really fun.

Here are some pics.
