Mom said I should do a blog for Christmas. I don’t really know what to say. Uh…. I really miss Canada around this time of year and I know this might sound weird but….. I miss the snow and the coldness. It doesn’t really seem like Christmas here and it is as hot as summer in Edmonton. :p

I can understand how you feel and we certainly miss you all up here.
But I do think it would be cool to celebrate Christmas with another country (as long as there’s some people you love to celebrate it with).
I think some of the Christmas traditions of Mexico and the southwest are pretty cool. I would like to experience Las Posadas (look this up on wikipedia to find out more) in a place where they celebrate it and light luminaria (wikipedia has stuff on this, too) in a place where they won’t just melt a hole in the snow. (To have a nine day celebration before Christmas to celebrate Christ more and spend more time with family and friends sounds cool to me.) And you get to break pinatas at Christmas, too. These are all exciting things to me.
But I hope you do have a great Christmas. Only 88 more sleeps til I get to visit y’all in Abilene.
